Angry Verbs

This is my angry bird we made them with our buddy class that it room 5. My angry verbs are bang, banged and banging. We played angry birds on the ipad first to get some angry verbs for it.

Body Works

We read a book called Body Works. This is my report on the book written by Judith Hodge.

Brain Power:

1. Cheetah cubs have to learn how to hunt from watching their mother.

Aquatic animals:

1. Unlike most fish stingrays seem to fly through the water by moving the sides of their bodies like wings.

On the wind:

1. Sugar gliders have large flaps between their front and back legs to help them glide.

Sound and vision:

1. Mammals like deer and antelope, which are particularly at risk from predators, emerge into the world with well-developed eyes.
2. Animals born in protected nests, like bird species, don’t open their eyes for several days.

Parts for eating:

1. Snakes swallow their food whole. Then digest it slowly over a few days.
2. The shape of a birds beak provides a clue to what it eats. Pelicans  scoop up fish in their netlike bills, while parrots have hooked, nutcracker beaks.

Other senses:

1. A sea anemone has nerve cells on its skin surface which respond to light and dark, hot and cold and acid and alkali.
2. Otters hunting at night use their whiskers, or vibrissae, for feeling out food, such as fish and frogs.

Super Hero Part 1 the attack

Agent Black part 1 The attack

No lights are on at the underwater base. One night I was in my bed and suddenly there was a huge crack. I woke up. I looked around and I saw a shoe. I got up quietly. I looked around in all the rooms and no one was up. People were sleeping in their beds. Then I  heard footsteps outside. I ran back to my  room and looked out the underwater window. When Speed Ben said “get back to bed.” I look for something in my bag it was gone!!! oh no I thought. Its gone. The next morning I couldn't wait to get up. We had to go in an underwater cave.

Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I saw something shiny. It was what I had been looking for last night. I grabbed it before someone saw it. The person that had took it last night they must have dropped it on the way into the underwater cave. Agent Marcus said “what is that?.” I said back to him “nothing” .“I saw something on the ground and you picked it up” Said Agent Marcus. I was not alone because Agent Marcus, Speed Ben and Laser Boy were with me. Can we just get on with the mission to blow up the enemies base. Speed Ben sprints off to the huge enemy base door and places 3 bombs that I just gave him and sprints back to where we are hiding...

I’m just about to hit the button when Laser Boy says “ Don’t not now”. “why not” I ask. “Because lets wait till night to do it”. “why” I ask. “because it will catch them by surprise then” “ok” I say we sneek back to the diving gear and quietly put it on. Then we dived into the water and swam back to Speed Ben's base. There we just sat around waiting sometimes sleeping. Then it was time to blow something up the evil Dark Minions base full of power diamonds. Putting on a wet suit, a mask, an air tank and a waterproof bag(just me). We go out the secret tunnel. It takes awhile to get there we get back to the hiding spot I push the button BOOM!!! CRASH!!! BANG!!! The tunnels coming down on us. We run no we sprint back to the opening and dive into the water(no diving gear on). We use small air tanks to breathe which will last until we get back. We see a su we fire a underwater rocket at it. As soon as we get back we go into the meeting room. Before we go there we get some food and water. “We won” we all say “meeting over” says speed Ben...

Rock Climbing at Karamu High School

Rock climbing

We went rock climbing at Karamu High School. We walked all the way to Karamu High School from school then we went into the gym. First we sat in a huge circle in the middle of the gym.

Then we had to run around and back to the place where we were. Then the year 12s came in and they had to get in the circle as well then we walked around in the circle. When Mr Ross said 1 Parkvale student and 1 Karamu to get in a group I looked around for A Karamu student and one picked me from behind me. We got up and walked around and went up to 3 Parkvale students and 2 from Karamu to get in a group and go somewhere in the gym.

There we said what our names were and learnt what we liked.

But before we got started we had to get in a harness. We learned how to pull someone up but we did it on the ground.
Finally we went to the climbing wall that was right next to us. Sam was first to go up. When he came down it was my turn to go up I went higher than Sam. But when it was Zach’s turn to go up he made it to the top. We walked back to school but went a different way than we had came.  

I thought it was nice of the year 12’s to teach us how to do rock climbing. It was awesome to rock climb there.

Challenge Tree Interview

Camp Shark

This is my camp I made it is called Camp Shark. We had to write directions to find Mr M. Also we had to use North, East, South, West, North East, South East, South West and North West. Also the co-ordinates were important. Here are my rules and directions.

Rules:

Camp rules for Camp Shark:

Indoors:

1. No running.
2. Only run when being attacked(when told).
3. Do not sneak out at night(people will be walking around the camp at night).

Outdoor:

1. Do not go into the water that has wire around it.
2. Don’t go over the wire around the water and the islands.
3. No going into the water when with no adult.

Other:

1. Do not drive a jeep if under 8 years old.
2. Do not drive a boat if under the height and the age of 9 year old.

Imported:

7. Do not leave your ID card anywhere but around your neck.

Directions to find Mr M:

Where to find Mr M

1. Land at C8.
2. Get into a jeep at C7 South of the air port.
3. Drive E7 then.
4. Go to F7 to get the co-ordinates from the main hall.
5. Then go to F6 just South of the main camp hall and get in a jeep.
6. Then drive to F5.
7. Get into a boat on the East side of the port.
8. Go South to F4.
9. Then go East to J4.
10. Launch a small boat go North to J5.
11. Just to the edge you will find Mr M. He has broken something you need to take him back to camp.

That we made I did it one about water.

Water

I have always been lucky

to be close to water.

It’s wavy in the sea

cold in the pool

hot in a spa.

Its also wavy in a wave pool

hard to walk in a lazy river.

Cold in the sea as well

sometimes warm.

Full of seaweed

gross.

Some water deep

some water shallow.
